By accessing or using the IAM Local 706 AI-powered chat assistant known as Ask Bruno, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Internal Use Only

Ask Bruno is provided exclusively for authorized IAM Local 706 members and approved users.

It is not intended for public use, external distribution, or access by non-members unless explicitly authorized by IAM Local 706.

Unauthorized access, impersonation, or attempts to bypass authentication controls are prohibited.

2. Restricted Distribution

Responses generated by Ask Bruno may contain internal union information.

You may not share, forward, export, publish, or distribute Ask Bruno responses to individuals outside IAM Local 706 without express authorization from the Local.

3. Intellectual Property

All content generated by Ask Bruno is the property of IAM Local 706.

Reproduction, sale, modification, or repurposing of this content without written authorization is strictly prohibited.

4. Accuracy Not Guaranteed

Ask Bruno may provide incomplete, outdated, or incorrect information.

All contract interpretations, policy explanations, wage references, and procedural guidance must be verified against:

  • Official IAM–BNSF agreements

  • Written union policies

  • Authorized union representatives

Ask Bruno does not replace official union determinations.

5. Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

Ask Bruno does not provide:

  • Legal advice

  • Financial advice

  • Medical advice

  • Professional or regulatory guidance

For official guidance, consult your Local Chairman, General Chairman or other qualified professionals.

6. Do Not Share Sensitive Information

Users must not submit:

  • Passwords or authentication credentials

  • Financial or banking information

  • Medical or health information

  • Social Security numbers or government IDs

Although communications are encrypted, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. AI Limitations

Ask Bruno is powered by artificial intelligence using predefined data sources.

The system:

  • Cannot access real-time company systems

  • Cannot modify records

  • Cannot perform actions outside its defined scope

  • Does not “learn” from individual conversations in real time

AI-generated responses are informational only.

8. Local Transcript Storage (User Device)

To maintain a consistent chat experience, Ask Bruno stores recent conversation data locally on the user’s device.

  • This data is not automatically transmitted to IAM Local 706

  • Transcripts are only sent to the Local when a user explicitly submits a request that includes them

Because transcripts are stored on the user’s device, IAM Local 706 advises users to:

  • Avoid using shared or public devices

  • Log out when finished

  • Clear local app or browser data if privacy is a concern

This local storage represents a minor privacy consideration but remains fully under the user’s control.

9. Employer-Managed Devices and Networks

To protect member privacy and confidential union communications, Ask Bruno and related IAM Local 706 digital tools may restrict or limit access when used from:

  • Employer-managed devices

  • Employer-managed networks

  • Employer-provided VPNs

Reason for This Restriction

Employer systems may be subject to monitoring, logging, or data retention policies outside the Local’s control.

Access restrictions help prevent inadvertent disclosure of confidential union communications.

10. Information Used for Access Decisions

For security and access-control purposes only, IAM Local 706 may evaluate limited technical information such as:

  • Network address (IP)

  • Network ownership or provider classification

  • Device or browser identifiers

This information is not used for advertising, profiling, or employer monitoring.

11. No Disciplinary Use

Access restrictions are preventative and protective, not disciplinary.

They do not track workplace activity and do not infer employee behavior.

12. No Guarantees

IAM Local 706 makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Availability

  • Accuracy

  • Performance

  • Reliability

  • Suitability for any specific purpose

Use of Ask Bruno is voluntary and at your own risk.

13. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

  • How Ask Bruno is used

  • Decisions made based on its responses

Misuse may result in restricted access or administrative action.

14. Access Control & Authorization

Access to Ask Bruno is limited to approved IAM Local 706 users.

Unauthorized use, impersonation, or attempts to bypass security controls are prohibited.

15. Agreement

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Ask Bruno.
